FOOD PROCESSING & PACKAGING

Investment support for food processing, standardisation and packaging units.

Food processing is the point where an agri-food product gains added value, a stronger commercial identity and better access to organised markets.

Growplan supports investments in food and beverage processing units, packhouses, sorting facilities, standardisation units, production lines and projects focused on production or energy upgrading.
In these projects, the key issue is not only access to a funding programme. What matters is the proper definition of the investment need, eligible and non-eligible costs, production capacity, technical requirements, compliance, certifications and the appropriate funding route.

An investment in processing, packaging, sorting or cooling equipment needs to be connected to the real business model of the unit: raw material, seasonality, energy cost, storage, product quality, sales channels and target markets.
Growplan helps the business organise the investment before it becomes an application dossier. We assess the project rationale, funding logic, financial model, technical maturation and required documentation, depending on the project and the agreed scope of collaboration.

The Growplan difference is that we do not treat food processing as a simple category of eligible costs. We see it as a critical stage of the agri-food value chain, where production, equipment, quality, packaging, storage, funding and market access need to be connected through clear investment logic.

Examples of the types of investments we support:

  • food and beverage processing units with new or upgraded production lines,
  • standardisation and packaging units for agri-food products,
  • cleaning, sorting, processing, standardisation and final packaging lines,
  • investments in processing, packaging, quality control and traceability equipment,
  • production upgrade projects aimed at increasing capacity, improving quality or reducing cost,
  • investments in new product codes, production diversification and stronger commercial identity,
  • energy upgrades and efficiency improvements in processing, standardisation and packaging units,
  • units with increased requirements for compliance, certifications, food safety and access to organised markets.

Every production unit has different needs. By completing the interest form, you help the Growplan team gain an initial understanding of your project and assess the most appropriate investment pathway.
